THE INVISIBLE MAN

Liu Bolin is a young Beijing artist who mostly exhibits in China. In this series 'Camoflage' he looks at human instincts. He paints Chinese citizens to blend into their surroundings, painted from head to toe in clothing, then placed in front of flags, other people or billboards for example.

Hi I'm a website.

M+B. Cool website, heaps of artists. Handy.
And just to remind you all... 9 days to go!

PAULO GABRIEL

Abduzeedo is a blog created by Brazilian designer Fabio Sasso, these images I found on the blog along with a lot of other interesting things. These are slow exposure works, I was really into them, they're not like the usual light slow exposure shots i've seen before. The artist is Paulo Gabriel, also a Brazilian artist.

YAYOI KUSAMA

Yayoi Kusama is a Japanese artist whose exhibiting in Wellington at the moment, I went and saw it when I was there last week. If your planning on heading to wellington before Feb 10 next year you should go see it, there's a lot on at the moment in Wellington, there was even a real naked party when i went there... chose to pass on that one...
'Following an 11 month building development, City Gallery Wellington will reopen with a solo exhibition of internationally renowned Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusama. Mirrored Years allows New Zealanders the rare opportunity to experience the strange and dizzying world of this avant-garde artist and her trademark polka dots. She is famous for her obsession with repetition and her exhilarating room-sized mirrored installations, which allow the viewer a breathtaking experience of infinity.'

WILLIAM WEGMAR

Anyone remember the dogs from sesame street? A good ones where the
dogs make homemade bread. A photographer called William Wegmar originally started doing weir and interesting films but moved onto photography of the dogs later on when audiences took a liking to them. A conversation with William Wegmar kind of explains a lot

FISH

Awesome crustacean, probably my favourite in fact.

AIGA ARCHIVES

PRILL & VIECELI

Prill & Vieceli is a graphic design studio established by Tania Prill and Albert Vieceli, its based in Zurich and unfortunately its not in english but they have some really interesting book design on there, bit of inspiration for our books... well, later books as theoretically we should have all of ours done. Tops to Han and Edwin for getting the book displays too

THREADLESS

Threadless.com is a cool site where you can design t-shirts/hoodies for and win lots of money. You submit a design and people come along and vote on it, if it gets enough votes it will go to print, every time it gets sold you get a bit of the profit. Cool way to make some money if your designs liked and there are some really cool designs on there to check out too. All of them are really cheap too, ridiculously cheap in fact, especially in the recession. Apparently the recessions over but I haven't noticed any prices going down yet. You've all seen my t-shirt with the unicorns ah.. having a good time together? That ones from this site.

THE BODY FESTIVAL

The Body Festival, Christchurch’s annual dance festival, is a showcase and celebration of New Zealand’s dancing talent. Ranging from professional shows to amateur productions, the festival covers a variety of enjoyment for all audiences and participators. Its on at the moment, started on the 26th September and there are heaps of different types of dancing you can try out for free while this body festival is on here. This weekend on Sunday 4th from 2.00pm - 3.00pm at the Christchurch Art Gallery there's Modern Ballroom and Latin.
Were going to head down and have a laugh and break out some sweet moves. oh yeah. I suggest you all come along or at least get to one of the workshops for a bit of fun and a taste of a different type of art.
